LP Kasem, one of the most highly revered monks of Northern Thailand, has gained increasing recognition among amulet collectors in recent years. His sacred amulets have maintained strong and relatively stable values, with his self-image amulets and Phra Khring amulets being among his most famous and valuable creations.

Devotees believe that LP Kasem’s sacred objects carry blessings for happiness and fulfilment, good health and protection from illness, prosperity, wealth, and strong interpersonal relationships. In recent years, his amulets have also attracted a younger generation of collectors, particularly as many successful individuals and businesspeople are known to wear his sacred pieces.

LP Kasem was a highly respected Northern Thai master whom the great Kruba Siwichai was said to have prophesied. Despite this background of royal lineage, LP Kasem had little interest in wealth, status, or power. Instead, he devoted his entire life to strict ascetic practice and helping others.

Throughout his lifetime, he dedicated tremendous effort to supporting the construction of hospitals, schools, and crematoriums, with the wish that people could receive proper care in life and dignity at the end of it. It is also said that he once fasted for nearly 40 days while performing rites and dedicating merit to deceased villagers.

Many extraordinary accounts have been passed down about his spiritual attainment. One such story tells that even under intense heat, after going without bathing or changing his robes, his body was said to emit a pleasant fragrance. To his devotees, these remarkable accounts reflected the extraordinary discipline, purity, and spiritual attainment for which Luang Pu Kasem remains deeply respected today.

This batch of Pidta is known as “Pidta Sarapat Dee.” Simply put, Sarapat Dee carries the auspicious meaning that whatever you undertake will ultimately lead to a positive outcome. It represents overcoming obstacles and difficulties, allowing one to move forward smoothly towards success, fulfilment, and favourable results in all endeavours.

This batch is also known by another name, “Pidta Kasem Suk Koon Laap,” which comes from the special circumstances surrounding its consecration.

During its creation, LP Kasem first conducted the sacred consecration and casting ceremony at Susan Trailak. The amulets were later brought to Wat Ban Rai, where the renowned LP Koon, often revered as the “Living God of Wealth,” presided over another major blessing ceremony.

According to records surrounding the batch, LP Koon specifically selected the auspicious date of 30 April for the consecration. The occasion was regarded as an especially favourable Sao Ha Maha Lap, believed to enhance good fortune, prosperity and success in business.

With the blessings of both LP Kasem LP Koon, this Phra Pidta carries a particularly meaningful background—symbolising the ability to overcome obstacles, attract good fortune and prosperity, and ultimately bring one’s endeavours towards successful and fulfilling results.

The blessing ceremony didn't end with LP Koon’s blessing. Instead, a third blessing was performed, sending the amulet back to LP Kasem in Susan Trilak for further consecration. Thus, through the combined efforts of these two revered monks, LP Koon and LP Kasem, it was named Phra Pidta Kasem Suk Koon Lap. This name signifies the wish for devotees to receive happiness, wealth, and abundant blessings. The back is inscribed with the three Chinese characters for "prosperity," a further blessing. Made of Nawaloha, 5,000 pieces were produced. Besides its beautiful appearance, the blessing power is considered perfect, making it one of the popular sought-after Phra Pidta amulets.
