LP Koon Parisuttho of Wat Ban Rai is one of the most respected and beloved monks in modern Thai Buddhist history. Renowned for his compassion, humility, and powerful blessings, LP Koon dedicated his life to helping the poor, supporting education, and contributing to the construction of hospitals, schools, and temples throughout Thailand.

His amulets are highly sought after for their reputed powers of protection, good fortune, and metta mahaniyom (charm and popularity). Devotees deeply admired him not only for the efficacy of his sacred objects, but also for his humble lifestyle and sincere dedication to helping others. Even today, LP Koon remains one of the most influential monks among collectors and believers worldwide.

In B.E. 2537, LP Koon created the famous “Koon Roon Rod” batch, a name which signifies glory, success, and advancement. This batch was chaired by a former Thai general and is regarded by many collectors as one of the most powerful releases from LP Koon’s peak period during the B.E. 2530s — an era widely believed to represent the height of his spiritual power and blessing abilities.

The reverse side of the Somdej features “Narai Song Krut” — Lord Vishnu riding on Garuda — a sacred symbol representing supreme authority, protection, victory over obstacles, and the triumph of righteousness. Because of its strong symbolism of command and prestige, it is especially popular among government officials, military personnel, police officers, businessmen, and individuals in leadership positions seeking authority, respect, and protection.
