LP Ngern of Wat Bang Khlan is revered as one of the “Nine Great Monk Masters” and celebrated as a “Wealth-Bringing Monk.” Devotees have shared countless accounts of prosperity attributed to his blessings, alongside reports of miraculous protection and life-saving interventions. Authentic amulets made during his lifetime, however, now command exceptionally high prices, while imitations are widespread.

This edition was created to support three charitable purposes:

  1. Funding the construction of bridges across major rivers for public passage.
  2. Supporting water-based ceremonial activities, including the floating of ceremonial lanterns.
  3. Providing financial assistance to charitable organisations that arrange dignified burials for deceased individuals with no surviving relatives.

The amulets were crafted to portray LP Ngern’s likeness with remarkable fidelity. On the reverse is the sacred yantra known as “Phra Chao Ham Arwut,” a protective inscription traditionally believed to ward off weapons, attacks, and harm.

One of the defining features of this edition is its composition, incorporating more than 100 sacred ingredients and amulets. Although the full list is too extensive to include here, notable components include:

  • Amulets of LP Ngern himself.
  • Takruts from LP Derm, Wat Nong Pho.
  • Phra Khring from LP Pae.
  • Phra Khring from LP Phoon, Wat Phai Lom.
  • Phra Khring from Archan Yit, Wat Chulamanee.
  • Phra Khring from LP Koon, Wat Ban Rai.
  • Phra Khring from LP Phrom, Wat Khanon Nuer.
  • Amulets from the BE2515 Wat Bang Khlan edition.
  • Phra Khring from LP Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee.
  • Phra Khring from LP Tim, Wat Lahan Rai.
  • Phra Chaiwat from LP Kasem.
  • Phra Khring from LP Sawai, Wat Preedaram.
  • LP Thuad amulets from Archan Nong, Wat Sai Khao.
  • Roop Lor of LP Pern, Wat Bang Phra.
  • Roop Lor of Archan Nam, Wat Donsala.

These are only some of the sacred components incorporated into this edition.

A total of 119 monks participated in the consecration ceremonies. Among them were:

  • LP Phoon, Wat Phai Lom.
  • LP Moon, Wat Ban Jan.
  • LP Sawai, Wat Preedaram.
  • Archan Yit, Wat Chulamanee.
  • LP Hong, Susan Tung Mon.
  • LP Pern, Wat Bang Phra.
  • LP Ruay, Wat Tako.
  • LP Sakorn, Wat Nong Krub.
  • Chao Khun Thong Chai, Wat Trimit.
  • LP Chalerm, Wat Prayat.
  • LP Yeam, Wat Sam Ngam.
  • LP Cher, Wat Klang Bang Kaew.
  • LP Mee, Wat Manwichai.
  • LP Thammarangsi.
  • LP Pherm, Wat Pom Kaew.
  • LP Phoon, Wat Bang Phan.
  • LP Mian, Wat Na Tang Nok.

The breadth of this gathering, together with the sacred materials used, makes this edition particularly noteworthy.

The casting alone involved two separate ceremonial stages.

During the first stage, the original sacred materials underwent chanting and blessings before being melted and combined into a metal ingot.

During the second stage, senior monks were invited to inscribe sacred characters and yantras onto the ingot. A second casting ceremony then transformed the blessed metal into the finished amulets.

Following casting, the amulets were taken to Luang Phor Ngern’s principal temple, Wat Bang Khlan, for three blessing ceremonies. They were subsequently brought to Wat Ta Lang for a further five blessing ceremonies before their official release to the public.

According to accounts associated with this edition, LP Moon and several other senior monks witnessed what they understood to be a manifestation of Luang Phor Ngern’s blessing during the consecration at Wat Ta Lang.

Devotees interpret this event as a sign that LP Ngern favoured the edition and spiritually participated in its consecration, further strengthening their faith in its efficacy.

With its extensive combination of sacred materials, the participation of 119 monks, and an elaborate series of casting and blessing ceremonies, this edition is regarded by its admirers as historically significant and deeply auspicious. Some consider it among the finest wealth-attracting editions associated with LP Ngern, particularly for its materials and ceremonial preparation.

Bringing together traditional beliefs in wealth, prosperity, and protection, alongside the sacred significance of amulets from numerous revered masters, it deserves the attention of collectors and devotees drawn to LP Ngern’s legacy.
