Phrakru Puen Wat Latchado is one of the rising monks in our current generation that is worth worshipping alongside LP Liang Wat Chom Ket. The creation of Hoonpayong uses various materials to shape a figure, which can be a person or an animal, and then performs a ceremony to chant to grant it various qualities as desired. The belief in Hoonpayong has been found in society for a long time, dating back to the Ayutthaya period, as seen in the epic literature of “Khun Chang Khun Phaen.”

For the Hoonpayong in the epic literature Khun Chang Khun Phaen, grass is tied into the shape of a human-like doll. Then, a spell is cast to make them come to life, have weapons, strength, and be impenetrable by cutting or stabbing, etc. The purpose of making puppets is to use them in battle or for protection when being in danger.

The art of creating successful Hoonpayong is relatively difficult and not everyone is capable of creating one that actually works. The Hoonpayong of Phrakru Puen are known to have brought kindness, popularity, protection, business sales and any bad thoughts will be reflected back to the origin.
